I'm running some LEDs in the car and I'm trying to figure out the best wire to tap into for the switch. I want constant power when the car is on but no power when the car is off in case I forget to turn the switch off. The switch will be in the center console.

i look at stuff in there all the time but it doesn't have what i need. I already have my LEDs in place i just need to tap into a constant power so i can wire a switch up to them

 

Tap into the cigarette lighter.

 

^x2. or just grab a meter and test different leads at the fuse panel.

or fuel pump fuse. thats what i had my nitrous tapped into. no fuel, no nitrous. works for me
