Best Speakers

I want to change my speakers (I fell like they are too weak), but I wanna to keep my Bose head unit and the Sub. Any recommendations what kind of speakers are the best with Bose unit?
Thanks

Pretty much anything will work- just keep in mind that the bose EQ boosts the trebble like hell so you might not want to get something with good highs. Replacing the speakers with anything will sound better than the stock paper speakers. You can also bypass the eq but i think you might lose the sub

If you get a decent set of speakers, you may want to look into bypassing the EQ, or its going to be very brite, especialy if the speakers are a set of components with tweaters.

my advice would be to wait and save your money and buy a decent alpine HU, pioneer premier is also very good and clarion and eclipse make very good HU too. if you want coaxials to install in the stock door openings I would recommend something with a neodymium magnet as they are just as pwerful as speakers with large magnets and have a very shallow mounting depth which you will need. also fitting new 6.5" speakers will be a challenge. try to fin 6" or even 5.25" speakers. brands I recommend are: eclipse point source, kenwood excelon, jl audio and boston. you can't go wrong with any of those speakers and some can be found at irrestible deals on eBay. I bought Kenwood excelon's for my wifes corolla and have them hooked up to a decent pioneer HU w/Rockford amp and they sound incredible and can take a beating too.

components with stock decK? complete waste of money. there going to sound just like regular speakers. you have to have an amp to power components. I was running fosgate components in my previous car with a fosgate amp and they sounded great!

Not if you bypass the EQ (which is something you will want to do if using aftermarket speakers) It will allow the speakers to go more full range and not be really brite with the highs which the bloz eq is set up to try to make the oem speakers do. There are instructions on bypassing the EQ on the forum

I have my stock system because I just don't care to spend money on a system right now. I turn the trebble down to a 1/4 and the bass to 3/4 and it sounds just right. that just goes to show you that you "MUST" bypass the EQ if you want to run aftermarket speakers on the stock HU. the stock speakers are complete garbage. I have said this before, I have rented a focus ZX4 and the stock system has far better than my cars.

Its not a pain at all. Just about any speaker that fits will sound alot better, and bypassing the EQ isnt hard (if you find you need to) Go to the audio part of the forum and search around and ask there. Its a better place than here to get your questions answered.

ok so I decided I`ll change HU too. But I would like to keep my OEM Sub. I did some research and according to fsttyms1 (in some early post) I`ll have to run sub from HU on new amp. The Question is: what kind of amp will be the best and cheap one in the same time?

Do I have to re-wire cables from HU to speakers, and hu-amp -sub?

you'll need new wiring from batt-HU-amp-sub. HU-speakers you can keep stock wiring, but might as well upgrade to better wires= better sound and speaker reliability.
