Best place to Spray NOS?

I was looking into getting a NOS kit, either NX or Venom, not sure which on at this point. Vemon seems easier to install...does anyone have any experience or comment on Vemon kit.

I always see NOS being injected at the throttle body, for a dry kit. But i was wondering, wouldn't it be better it you spray the NOS closer to the air filter and away from the throttle body to get better distribution? Or is it recommended by the manufactorer that you spray it at the throttle body?

Direct from NOS:

Nitrous oxide is made up of 2 parts nitrogen and one part oxygen (36% oxygen by weight). During the combustion process in an engine, at about 572 degrees F, nitrous breaks down and releases oxygen. This extra oxygen creates additional power by allowing more fuel to be burned. Nitrogen acts to buffer, or dampen the increased cylinder pressures helping to control the combustion process. Nitrous also has a tremendous "intercooling" effect by reducing intake charge temperatures by 60 to 75 degrees F.

I have a lot of experience using/installing nitrous kits on many different types of cars, so here we go:

Typically you want to add nitrous after the air (or air/fuel) metering device - carb, throttle body... Most pre-packaged kits either have a plate that installs between a carb and intake or between the throttle body and intake (in FI cars). Typically these kits run from 50 to 400hp and unless there is a fuel problem (as in not enough), they wrk well at low-medium HP levels.

If you want to go really big (300+ HP), you direct port - one line for each cylinder (sometimes two!), mostly to keep the proper a/f ratios (so the motor stays in running order).

Then you have the quickie kits - which are a single nozzle (of nitrous and fuel) that can be put in the intake tract (intake going to TB/carb). These kits are easy to install and work ok at 25-75hp increases. Going above 75hp is a non-no, as fuel puddling can occur (fuel drops out of suspension), plus each cylinder may not the proper allocation of fuel/nitrous.

That being said, depending on how much hp you want will dictate what kits you can use. If you stay at 75hp or under, the single nozzle is fine, otherwise, invest in a plate system - your motor will love you for it.

Those new direct fuel/nos injectors spray both nos and fuel through the fuel injector but they are like $1200 for all 6 injectors.
