Best intake and exhaust?

What do you recommend? I want something not too loud for the exhaust, and an intake that adds real gains. I've seen some on other cars that loose HP!

Where is the best place to buy a spoiler? Should I spend the extra and get the real Acura spoiler or the OEM clone?

Lightbulb re: mods

Best intake is probably the AEM CAI, best exhaust is the CompTech.

As far as buying the stuff, everything can be bought on www.autocarparts.com which supports this site. Tim (snook, the guy who runs it) is awesome and has good prices. You can get a spoiler on here too!!

You can go with AEM or Injen, either one is fine. You can find them on the intakes page above

juniorbean, thanks for the post
Incase you didn't know, all the parts available for the TL/CL can be found now on this site

I don't know about intakes but on a exhaust, try HKS. I currently have COMPTECH exhaust and they are little bit louder than I would like it to be. The funny thing about the COMPTECH exhaust is that they louder in inside of the car than outside.
But over all I am satisfied with Comptech.

Does any body have HKS Exhaust on their TL? Please give me some input.

Also on spoilers, you can purchase them from here (acura-tl.com).

I recently purchased my spoiler from here and I am very satisfied. I purchased painted after market factory style spoiler. You really can't tell the difference. Tim from acura-tl.com was great in helping me tracking my order and taking care of some issues that I had. They are very customer service oriented.

If you want to install the spoiler yourself, I found a easy way to install them. Just reply on this tread or send me a PM.

The HKS Drager Axle-Back looks too huge on that CL on this site. I'm sure its louder then comptech?

Agreed... the HKS exhaust look too big for this car. As for the CompTech sound, I can barely hear it. I have the radio on and I'm cruising at any speed and I can barely even hear the exhausts.....

Snook - no prob!!

Hole? I'm not quite sure what you are talking about there. If you are using the AEM or Injen one then cutting anything is out of the question. The hardest part in stalling a CAI is probably figuring out how to remove your front bumper cover the first time.

You have to take the bumper off! Almost rather cut a hole. ON a maxima I had, you need to use a hole saw in the inside of a fender so that the intake tube can go through it. Don't want to cut anything on this car. Whats the best way to add 20HP or so?

The headers are costly, and add 15 at most, right? Also, compttech exhaust is worth less then 5hp by itself correct? I would get them mostly for rear end looks. Does anyone make a performance chip?

Taking the bumper cover off is not that bad. All you need it a phillips screw driver to take off the side screws and a flat head screw driver to pry the rest of the clips off.

Don't worry, you get to put the bumper back on. hahaha.

As for the headers, Comptech claims that they alone will give a TLS a 32 hp bump at the wheels (that's what they told me anyway). Their exhaust was 5-6 hp at the wheels. So, headers+exhaust+TLS = over 300 hp at the crank. I haven't done it yet but it's awfully tempting.

So far, the K&N, and Comptech axleback are perfect! Nice deep tone at low r's, NSXish in the upper rev's. Taking it to the track this weekend for some real fun. Wish I had the headers, those will just have to wait.
