It's still going on.
Ive had them for about a year and half and already had them turned twice. Shaking is back once again. I put about 13k miles on them. I am looking for new ones and most likely itll be rotora or IRotors. My stocks held up better.

Wow I'm so glad I stumbled across this thread just today my steering wheel started to shake when I was braking and I was told to get a front end-alignment. Knowing it's a rotor problem will definitely help me get it fixed quicker. Thanks!

About three years ago I went to Rottora slotted rotors including EBC Greenstuff brake pads in the front and Centrix brake pads in the rear.

The pads in the front seem to leave a TON of dust, AND they seem to need replacing quite often. I also get the shakes quite quickly after brake service.

With the set-up I have listed, is there any improvement you guys can recommend for less dust and less shaking?

I actually decided to opt out of SS brake lines. Figured OE would hold up just fine. I painted my RL's black and am now just waiting for my custom bracket from NVA-AV6 to come in the mail. I decided to go with irotors with akebono pads over powerstop and Stoptech. So I'll post when all is finished.

OP which rotors/pads did you decide on?

Stainless steel lines perform much better in panic and ABS braking situations. Just a thought to consider.

SS lines are the way to go
Have buddy pump brakes as if bleeding system while you observe front brake line to caliper
See how it swells and flexes even at no temp?
Now apply heat and the rubber swells more
when it does, actual fluid pressure to the caliper drops!
SS lines are cool- wiki for construction details
the ss part is actually a reinforcing cover
not the brake line itself

if going big calipers or legend calipers, the extra 100 is worth it
you can tell the pedal feels stronger all the time

EBC redstuff pads don't seem to leave as much dust. I love my brake setup.

OP, have you considered slotted and dimpled rotors as opposed to slotted and drilled? EBC's rotors have been great.

I know this thread is sort of old, but since it's part of the 3G TL garage, I figured it was worth throwing this out there. Long story short, there is no such thing as a warped rotor. I used to believe it too, but after learning more and changing my pad buying habits, I believe it.

I had issues with my F350, CC, 4wd, diesel, but ever since I got AWAY from ceramic pads (huge fan of performance friction carbon metalic pads now), I've not had the problems that I use to have AND I'm still using the same OEM rotors!

http://www.stoptech.com/technical-su...nd-other-myths

I was just doing some digging looking for opinions on pads and think I'm going to order PF pads for my 3G TL. They rock on my F350 and I tow heavy and often (horse shows)!!

(Sorry if someone posted this before)

(p.s. before you try to argue the point, go look up the critical temps for cast iron and typical brake rotor temps. Also, I don't cruise Azine often and may not see this for a couple of weeks or ever...)
