Before I install my rotors...

I am hoping to have my rotors installed sometime next week. As well as a set of winter tires. I was just wondering for those who have the rotora slotted rotors did you have any clearence problems with 16 inch rims? I need to get a winter set of tires and those will probably be put on a 16 x 6.5 steel rim... will there be enough clearance with the new rotors? or do I need to get a set of 17's?

The Rotora rotors are stock size so no you won't have any clearance issues at all. Now if you got the Rotora Big Brake Kit then you would have clearance issues with the caliper.

I have a '99 with Rotora slotted and they are fine with my OEM 16" wheels...

Also, you can see my steel wheels + winter tires:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98283

They aren't the usual full-black wheels with tiny holes goin' around the diameter...they're spoked and painted silver with proper wheel paint (came that way from Steelcase).

I'm actually looking forward to winter this year. I have amazing brakes, and incredible winter tires to compliment them. I've been waiting for it to snow for months now. I'm so anxious, that I already have the winter tires on the car. You can never tell in toronto. It can be sunny and hot one day, and the next day it's below 0 and snowing. Whatever, it usually snows first week of november, and truthfully I didn't want to wear my summer tires anymore. The winters will last far longer than my summer tires, so why not put the tire on that wears the least?????

I've been living through it for 18 years, and it's not terrible. I mean, by about January, you wish that it was warmer, and then the really cold temperatures hit when end of jan, beginning of february begins. We get hit hard during those months, but you just have to take advantage of the summer time more, and everything is ok when winter hits the year after. Whatever, just something us Canadians have to put up with.

ya I won't. I always start out slow with any mod I put in, to make sure it's functioning properly. I start off pretending that I have the Stock Michelin's on the car and then take it up from there. But I will go gradually, and not go nuts behind the wheel. Don't forget, I've only driven one winter in my life, and this one coming up will be my second, so I wouldn't say that I am 100% used to it yet, although I did drive a shitload the last winter (22 000km, which is about 15k miles in less than 6 months). Anyhow, I'll be very careful, don't you worry.
