I'm not sure if it's worth bragging about, but...

I pulled up to a light and saw it sitting there...rolled down the window and ask him the HP. He said "238 horses" and I said "SHOW ME". When the light turned, I got about a 2 car-length jump on him and keep pulling away. At about 60, we both slowed down and he acknowledged defeat...I was feeling pretty good, but it's probaby an auto tranny...I thought I'd share anyway

 

if it was an automatic he only had 197 hp, the 6 speed has 238 hp

 

I thought the ones with the higher hp sngines were quick.

beat a VW R32 yesterday. the guy previously owned a new accord V6 coupe that i raced a while back. the accord handed me my ass on the interstate at like 135 - 140mph. the R32 must be hella heavy cuz they aren't fast. they are cool looking, fun cars though!

 

The RX-8 is OK... It's almost $30k and all you get is a lousy 238hp/160lb-ft (LOL!) I really like the interior and back styling of it though.. The front lights are nice but the hood doesn't come together with the car.. BTW, the back seat is cramped to the bone and all you get is like 3 inches of legroom.



My friend actually traded his RSX-S in for an RX-8.. He says the RSX was faster!! All he had on that thing was AEM cai and exhaust (the RX-8 really lacks torque).. But he's hoping for a twin turbo which will boost him to about 438hp. It's going to cost like $6k tho!

Beat an RX-8 off the line!? Wow that's suprising. Do you have any mods on your TL? One of my buddies got a brand new RX-8 MT and for how high that car can rev there must not be nearly enough Hp going to the wheels if your TL beat it. But damn I still gotta hand it to you. And I definitly think it's worth bragging about, it seems in J-ville every F-in saturn wants to race... it gets boring.

 

yeah if its auto its not 238hp... should be like 198 or something. the 238 flavor is only available for manual transmission. haha unless the guy was just making it up driving an auto haha~ but hey nice kill any mods of ur tls?

 

yeah, i remember a couple people and myself posting about the R32 not too long ago. turns it only has 240HP/235TQ and weighs in around 3400 pounds. a bit on the heavy side for such a tiny VW, especially since the AWD is just going to slow it down off the line. now if we were talking a VW phaeton, then i think we would have a challenge.

I am completely stock, except for a KN filter. If he was driving a 6MT withf 238HP, he must not know how to use it...It should've been closer than it was...especially, since we both agreed to go 100% off the line.
