Nav screen problem
something is going on with my Nav screen. The screen seems to be losing its frequency which sometimes produces lines on the screen that are similar to an old TV with bad reception. Probably not as severe as that but the lines that i see are subtle. The lines disappear when I press the gas pedal. Any ideas? I was thinking that perhaps my battery is dying and only pressing the gas pedal can properly provide enough electric current to the nav.
I've had these since day one, and several others have reported them as well. It's electrical interference from the alternator. If you turn the engine off but leave the ignition in the accessory position the lines will disappear. According to the dealer there isn't anything they can do about it. I'm not sure why you never had it before this but it is more common than not.
my screen is acting the same even when the engine is turned off. So I am not sure exactly if it's the alternator. Actually I've been having this problem for a couple of years now... so..
