Bad Alternator or Battery

Bad Alternator or Battery

When driving out to pick up some touch up paint, the car died and wouldn't provide me any more power to the gas which caused the battery light, low oil pressure light, and tcs light to all turn on. Once pulled over I tried starting the car again and it turned on, so to test the alternator I pulled the positive end off of the battery and the car stayed on. Took the battery to autozone and had it tested and they said my battery was perfectly fine. So now I'm confused and was wondering if anyone here has had any similar experiences to a bad alternator or a bad battery.

Get a voltmeter, place across battery terminals, key off. You should see full battery voltage. Then start it. Voltage should be higher like 14v.

Also check your terminals for corrosion.

Turns out it wasn't the battery or alternator going bad, was just the main fuel pump relay that burned out.
