Axxis Brake Pads??

Just writing this wondering if anyone else out there has the same problem I am. I have the Axxis Ultimate Pads and they produce so much brake dust. I have to literally clean my rims 2 times a day. It actually is getting alittle annoying. They are noisy too, but I don't care about that because they are a metal pad. But the brake dust is rediculous. Is anyone else having this problem??

I am very tempted to buy new Hawk Pads and throw out the Axxis. Its just that the Axxis are only about a month old.

i ended up going with the akebono ceramic pads when i changed mine in may. i am very happy with them. the car still brakes very quick and i have very little dust. they were not all that expensive either. i highly recommend them. good luck.

I was looking into the brakes and I heard that the EBC Green Stuff are not that good. I heard to either get the Hawks or get ceramic. The only concern with ceramic is the braking. The axxis brake very well and I don't want to lose that stopping power.

I will have to price around and see what I can afford and what won't affect my stopping power.

i would have to say that the EBC come *highly* recommended from people off this board (or at least that's the impression i got). i went with the ceramics because the EBC were not in stock and i needed pads ASAP. but i am very happy with the ceramic.

I went with the Axxis Deluxe Plus pads over the Ultimates becasue I didn't want to have to deal with the dusting. I have had them on for about 3 months and so far I am very pleased with them. The Deluxe Plus pads dust less than the stock pads.

The axxis do work the best. I am just complaining about all the dust. My stopping power is great. But I have to deal with the dust and noise

Not that I know of. Its funny though. The noise only comes when you first touch your brakes. When you are hard on the brakes there is less noise.

i just ordered my brembo slotted rotors all around for my car with axxis metal masters. i didnt want them at first because they dust alot from what i have heard but then again if everyone is saying they stop good then thats what im sticcing with. i wash my car almost every week so i dont really have worry about the break dust as much.

I also have Axis Metal Masters and don't have any noise at all under normal driving. The only time I hear anything is when I am barely rolling, like at a drive through window with the window down, I hear a very light noise. Not even enough to notice or consider.

I LOVE my AMM pads & dimple drilled slotted rotors. I can stand on the binders repeatedly all day long and not get any noticeable fade / vibration / or pull. One of the best mods I ever did for sure.

Beats the Hell out of the OEM piece of crap rotors....

When you say "noise", are you talking about a high pitched sound or something else?

Yeah, I hate the dusting I have with my Axxis MM's. I washed my car this weekend, drove it around the block to get the light rusting on the rotors off and just the drive around the block, there was brake dust all over the rims. It does get very annoying very quickly. One thing that helps if you have time to do it, wheel wax. It puts a nice thin layer so dust doesn't stick to the metal. Works well, but a pain to put on.

Just a slightly audible noise from the metal pads lightly sliding against the metal rotors with no brake pressure, sort of like when you are just rolling without touching the brakes. Not really a squeek, just a light dragging sound.

That should've stopped after the first 1000 kms / miles.
At least it did for me

Thats just the problem. I was my car even more than that. On a day that I drive alot I ahve to wash my wheels 2-3 times in the same day. I drive alot, but still.

Also the noise is more high pitched and yet it comes under slight or rolling braking. I don't even really care about the noise. Because when you buy pads and there not ceramic there is going to be alittle noise.
