Autolock- any good?

Well...my friend came over the other day to check out my car and he was telling me how easy it was to key my car. Sure enough, less than two minutes later he opens the car door and starts the ignition with a master key. I don't know about you guys but this brings chills down my spine. I already got my Viper 791XV remote start alarm w/ backup battery installed today but I still dont think thats enough. So I'm thinking about getting an Autolock for the car also. You guys have any opinions about it? Are there ways to bypass it? Here's a link to one of the ebay listings:

I had a product called Multi lock installed on my Subaru a while back. I saw how they installed it and I can say that if they wanted the car that bad to pick this lock, they can have the car.

Read up on them. Can of freon in the lock and a good whack with a screwdriver and a hammer and it's open.

I'd also say that after the gimmick wears off, you'll forget to put it on. Same thing with The Club. I see so many of them sitting on the seat of cars.

Each time, this took me a maximum of 30 seconds, and each time I could have then easily stolen the car."

I've seen the autolock (although I don't have one myself) and it seemed pretty sturdy.

The autolock's been working pretty damm fine for me. I don't see how anyone can just "shift" it very easily after it's properly locked. I wouldn't depend on the Autolock to prevent theft, just "deter" theft. I mean, if anyone really wanted to steal my car, they will.

yeah, i have the autolock too and when its PROPERLY installed, i think its very difficult and time consuming to defeat it...i bet the thief will just move on to a car that doesnt have it rather than spend time on one that has.

plus, since there are so many TL's on the road, hopefully he steal the one that doesnt have it instead of mine just kidding!
