Post Article on supercharged CL type S

Car and Driver Magazine issue June 2003 pgs. 135and 136 has a write up on a CL type S (6 sp. manual) they modified with all comptech parts inc. supercharger. I'll sumarize the stats:
0-60 5.7sec.
0-130 23.5 sec vs. over 33.0 stock!
1/4 m. 14.2 @ 104.5

Price with all the goodies $53,462.00
A couple of Quotes:
"At part throttle under 4000 rpm, the engine behaves, well, normally. Slam the throttle, though, and it feels like a 440 Six Pack V-8 in a Dodge '69 Charger." The superchargers push comes at higher velocities. The trip from 50-70 takes about 9 secs. versus almost 11.5 stock. "Adding a blower to the CL type S is something like shipping seawater to the Mariana Trench."
:wow:
I'll be installing mine with the headers soon!

Yeah I saw that in C&D. I just cant justify paying that much $$$$ & getting 'replica' Lowenharts.. HMMM... a lil late especially since the CL is history after this year.

Sweet looking body kit though--shame Acura killed off the car.

Those aren't replica Lowenhart's. You must be thinking of the Bersaglio spoke II which is actually the BR-5 with a different name.

those aren't replicas, those are the real deal, just a different brand of wheel. J.T.'s 3.2TL is right, bersalagio spoke IIs are the BR5 knock offs.

And the CL is already history! Production already stopped. ;(
