A while back some members were having problems with the arm rest not locking well. Is anyone still having problems with the arm rest opening after having the dealer fix it? Did they put on a different type of latch mechanism? Mine has not opened while driving, but will open if pulled very lightly without pressing on the latch. I will be taking my car in next week for the seat belt recall and wondering if it is worth having them fix the arm rest also.

 

It's definitely worth it since its free and covered by warranty. If you dont fix it now.....you will again later. Either way its one of those things that'll always need maintenance in the future. I had mine replaced because it was clicking....now it snaps on great.

 

My dealer is on his third attempt to fix it. He still wants to fix just the latch and not the entire unit.
