I've always loved the Lexus SC line. Especially the SC400 with the 4.0 V8( My aunt used to have one). I especially like the upcoming SC430 roadster powered by a Lexus 4.3L V8.

Only problem with SC300 or SC400 is no access / pass thru from the trunk. I couldn't fit my snow or water skis into the SC300. Same problem with LS400. The trunk pass thru on my TL has enabled me to visit Lowes and tote home 2 x 4's for a project. Carry some really odd long skinny stuff and in general be really useful. Can't get that in a SC300/400 or an LS400. Otherwise I probably would have bought one of those.

I liked them when it first came out. Now it's oudated, obsolete, and out of fashion.
Sorry, but I don't understand why you'd trade in your brand new TL for a used SC.

Great cars but way of my price range. I would'nt trade a new TL in for a 97 SC300/400. I think the TL is just as reliable

Great car, however, if you're opting for the SC300 get manual cuz auto is dog slow. My wife's Accord V6 beats it off the line. Just a thought. Overall, Lexus makes great cars IMO. Too bad they discontinued the SC line. Well maybe not with the SC430 coming, but $70K, ummmm, can you say German Car for that price.

JYOO I was about to say, the only reason I'd ever get an SC (not a bad thing, just a very specialized thing) is to turn it into all out drag.
The engine is the same as the IS300, GS300, Supra N/A, which all scream for a Turbo. Or can have the Supra Turbo engine (2jz-gte) dropped into it. With just that engine dropped in it, it'll run low 13's prolly. At BPU+ expect low 12's. SC300's have amazing potential to be street monsters.
