I am just wondering if anyone is having problems playing CDRs in their stock 6 disc in-dash HU. The HU is a 2001 model.

2001 HU are not 6 disc indash. Are you asking because you want to upgrade to the 02-03 6 disc indash? The In dash players are less prone to the CDRs problem of the 99-01 Bose HU. Just to let you know not all 99-01 HU have this flaw, mine works fine after they replaced it.

 

My 99 wouldn't play a CDR for the life of it... so I finally gave in, lied to the body shop saying my radio didn't work after the accident, and had a new 03 Head Unit put in... I just payed the difference. I LOVE IT!!!!!

 

My 00 will only play Fugifilm cd-r

 

I have a '99 that won't play CD-Rs either. Is there a way to go about replacing it? I have an extended warranty but there's nothing wrong with the player. It just ticks me off, that's all.

 

I burn my CDR's at 4X - tdk/sony both work great.

 

burn CD's at 52x with TDK blanks, works good. if ur car is under warrenty take it to dealer, they will give u a new one.
