Unhappy anyone has pic on how to remove the front bumper?

Anyone has pics on how to remove the front bumper?

I know there are 2 bolts, 1 on each side, 4 screws, 2 on each side, and some clips. But, does anyone have pics showing where are these bolts and screws?

Thanks a lot!!

Why don't we just do it for you

This might help you from the FAQ:

REMOVE FRONT BUMPER
This was very easy. Start first by going under the car and looking at all the clips on the bumper. You will notice there are plastic clips on the very front, connecting the front spoiler. These do not have to be removed in order to take of the bumper. You will see other clips going along the bumper. You just take a flat head screw drive and pry them out gently. When the center is out you can pull the front bumper and the black undergarment piece apart and do this to all the clips, I think there are like 5. Also there are 3 screws on each corner that you will need to remove. Then open the hood and you will see 3 more clips. Remove these next. Now there is a screw left on each side inside the wheel well remove these. Now on each side of the bumper a couple inches from the top screws you just removed, there are clips holding the bumper in. Just grab the edge of the bumper cover, from in the wheel well, and pull, these will free the bumper and remove. That's it. This is a 10-15 minute job.

If need more help, PM me.

What year is you TL. Its not the same removing the 02 and 03 front bumper as it was on the previous years. The 02 and 03 bumpers are not difficult to take off but some of the clips are located in stupid places, like under plastic covers. Tell me what year your car is and if its 02 or newer, ill write some long a$$ instructions with pics on how to do it.

nameeri is right, what year is your TL, if 02+ the bumper is different.

It will take you more than 10-15 minutes the first time, but once you have done it, you could do it in 5 minutes

Cool cool...allright here are the instructions with pics:

1. Remove the plastic cover in the pic below by removing the tabs labeled 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and the small tabs labeled L1 and L2. Remove the cover and place it aside. You will notice that 3 of the pastic tabs are longer than the rest. The longer ones belong in the 1,2,3 positions. Remember to put those back in those spots.

2. Once the plastic cover is removed, you will notice two more plastic tabs that are anchored to the metal of the car and the front grille. These are labeled G1 and G2. You cannot see them here because the plastic cover is still in place, but the are right there, you cant miss them. Remove those plastic tabs as well. Now the grill can woble back and forth but it wont come off because its anchored to the bumper. You will take the grill and bumper off as one piece.

3. Now remove the screws and nuts as shown below: there is one on each side of the car.

4. Remove the 4 plastic tabs on the bottom of the bumper. The general location is marked out in the picture below. You cant miss them. They connect the plastic of the bumper to the black plastic splash gaurds under the car. There are 4 labeled 1,2,3,4 in the pic

5. Now is the part where you actually take the bumper off. Look at the pic, there are two plastic anchors (1 on each side) that are part of the bumper and are mated to a metal clip that holds it tight against the fender. You have to remove the plastic anchor from the clip being careful not to yank too hard so as not to break the anchor. You can do this by pushing the bumper up with your left hand from the bottom (if you are on the left side of the car) and with your right hand, yank the bumper towards you. It will make sense once you see how the clip and anchor fit together. See pic.

6. Do that on both sides and you are done. Now grab the bumper at the corners where the grill meets the bumper and pull straight out towards your legs and the bumper should come off. You will also need to unplug your fogs before you can totally move it out of the way. Good luck.

the last step needs two people (one at each side) to hold the bumper, right?

one person can remove the bumper completely. You dont need to have two people to do it. You're welcome for the instructions. hope they help you out.
