Question Anyone experience.....

A leak from the tranny before? What could cause it? Could it be THE sign of tranny falure? I thought it might have been my rear motor mount, any thoughts? It is a redish fluid, real dirty. Could it be an axle??

Thank for all the help in advance.

axels dont contain fluid. Where they go into the tranny there is a seal and could leak from there, along with any other # of places and hoses.

Us telling you where its leaking from with out a description of about where is like giving you the winning lottery #'s

The trannyh fluid should be redish in color

Took it to a known shop and they told me both axles are *ucked up bad!!! Also the CV'z might be binding up!

Where is a good place to buy axles?

Should I do it myself?

How long would it take?

Please help...

Ok the shop quoted me 115 each for remanufactured axles and 1.5 labor. Total of 221! That sounds good to me, you guys?

Still curious to know if there are any performance axles?

Are remanned axles ok?

Thanks

221? 115x2=230. so is the labor free?? Thats not too bad for them. There arent performance axles, and they arent needed. How you got 2 bad ones?? would be a better question. Reman are ok. Ive never had a problem with them (in the past with other cars)

I always feel beter when YOU answer my posts. For some reason i have grown to trust YOU!!

So Im not sure HOW I have two bad ones. the price I posted is only for one side!
He said we should do the right side first, then see how it drives, then if we need to replace the other one.

Thanks again!
