Anyone Ever Use Royalty Rotors (Lifetime Warranty Against Warping and Cracking)?
I was looking for a new set of rotors for my TL and happen to come across a line of rotors made by Royalty rotors. The rotors are slotted and cross drilled. They provide a lifetime warranty against cracking or warping, which is great due to the warping problems we all experience. I searched all over the forums and couldn't really find anyone that has used them. I called the company and they say the rotors are made in China but the slotting and crossdrilling is done in California. RockAuto sells the front rotors for $66.79/each (part #RR40046SD) which seems pretty decent for slotted/crossdrilled. They don't list the rotors under the 2nd gen TL but I found a part list and this was the correct part for the 2nd gen TLs. The only drawback is to claim under the warranty, you have to send the rotors in, so you might be without your car for a while and since rotors are heavy, it would be slightly expensive to send them back. The only other option I have found for lifetime warranty rotors is at O'Reilly's for Wagner rotors for about the same price. When I talked to them, they said it covers warping as well and all I have to do is take the old ones in to the store right around the corner. I just wanted to see if anyone has ever used Royalty rotors or heard of them and could offer some reviews/feedback before I make my decision. Thanks.

Never heard of them. I have Rotora rotors with many track days and over 100k on them now and they are still butter smooth while braking.

its the oe rotors have warping issues- and any cheap mettalurgy of dodgy history type brands
go to the local parts store if you just drive normal human style and buy matched brand pads and rotors
crossdrilled has a purpose for racers, but needs to be in the orignal design of the rotor innards to be cut like that- or risk instabilty and cracking

Is your car auto or did you do a 6spd swap? I really want to track my car but I'm too scared b/c I don't want to risk creating a tranny issue

^ yes he is 6 speed swap. a couple redlines on a track isnt going to "kill" the tranny, but prolong exposure to poor driving will, like a few laps will heat things up too much. you can go fast, just be careful on 2nd and 3rd gear shifts.
ebc dimpled and slotted rotors with red stuff pads, not warped and stops on a dime.

The stock rotors/pads were horrible, we all know that. I swapped for the Rotora slotted rotors and their ceramic pads and they lasted about 35-40k highway/city miles before they started warping and from there, it was downhill QUICK. I'm giving the stoptechs a shot now, should be here next week.
