anyone ever sucked up water thru CAI????

has anyone ever actually hydrolocked their engines by sucking up water thru their intake??? if so, how deep was the water??? i kno that the by pass valve is a safety measure, but i wanna kno if anyone has ever actually needed it. also how low does the intake sit above the ground?? i heard 6-8 inches. i think it would be pretty hard to completely submerge the whole intake. wut yall think
