Well, I finally decided to get a new car, and somehow ended up with a 1999 TL. Just thought I would introduce myself to you all. I come from a 1990 Prelude Si that I had mildly modded. Needless to say the TL rides a bit different :p

But anywho...

Here is what I have.

1999 TL w/ Navi
Dark Emerald (not my first choice but the price was right)
Mod's to date: 0
Mod's planned: 0 Don't know if I want to bother yet

I hope to get some good info before I make any decisions seeing as how I know very little about after market for the TL's

But HI everyone

I have been here forever and never see anyone from Columbus. I hope to get a meet together sometime in the near future. They're are some mods outthere but dont expect too much. headers, exhaust, cai, springs the usual .

We'll get you spending that mod money real quick. For example, get working on the body kit, rims and springs. After that all will flow into place.

Welcome to the TL club. I used to drive a civic before I got my TL so I know what it's like stepping up to a much better car. Enjoy and appreciate every moment of it. You can click the icon's at the top of the page to order parts if you decide to do so.

BTW, Get the body kit.

My better half won't allow for the lowering, My old prelude was slammed and it scraped everything. But the others, well I think I can hide those :p

Then whats the point really. I personally like the tucked look, but in my opinion, I spent money on comfort, why spend more money to reverse that.

well then my last suggestion is to get a body kit and springs that will tuck at the same time... then when ur other half asks, tell her its just the body kit.

I know Comptech's springs at least aren't any harsher than stock, but provide a significant enhancement to the handling. I dunno about you, but stock the TL-P felt really floatty to me. OH YEA, almost forgot the single most important handling mod. GET YOURSELF NEW TIRES. The OEM michelins are TERRIBLE. I was utterly digusted with them on a dry road, and then it rained one day and I was afraid to drive over 40. Sways will make the car feel much more balanced, and the steering much more responsive. The CAI gives you slightly better gas mileage (granted that you arent flooring it all the time to hear the great sound it also gives) and a modest increase in power. I also got new spark plugs but really can't say that they did anything, other people swear by them however.

From: Miami - just one day, I would like to drive without getting cut off!
Welcome, hope you enjoy your car and the site. Remember to use the search function first, so you don't get flamed, then toss the question out there for all to see.
