Hi all! I was curious to redline my TL while being parked and it bounced off at around 5.5K. I had already driven about 30 minutes prior to doing this. Is it in safe mode or a feature? The car idles fine. Thanks for the TL n00bie here!

Yup. This is normal. If you have your e-brake on, it'll limit your revs to 5.5K...you're right on, it's a safety feature. My car does the same.
