I have the same problem. Mine is a 99 and the passenger door lock will not work when it is warm outside. I have taken apart the door panel and sprayed the lock with WD-40, but it only seems to work temporarily. Anyone also having the same problem and how was it resolved?

i just had my actuator changed in my '99 tl. the passenger door one was not working and the dealer took it out and tried to clean it. it cost around $150 to change it.

I don't think its thats hard, just take off the door panel and install the new part. plug and play. buy the part from the dealer and install it yourself

okay, how exactly is that done.
it's kind of tight in the door jam
plus, i heard that the actuator is riveted in.
is this something that i will have to take in to have a shop do?
