Anybody have a solution to this problem?

When the wiper's swing from side to side, the "up" swing, the wipers make a screeching chopping sound, these are new wipers too....The wipers skip going up, but wipe smooth going down...I have no idea how to remedy the problem.... I'm sure someone else here does... Even when it's pouring outside and there's plenty of water to wipe, it screeches like the window's dry... Anyone??????

All you had to do was ask...

Shoof, i had this same problem... Just spray down a rag with some 2001 and wipe tha blades... This also protects them from sundamage too... Also, rainX wiper fluid mixed w/water is good to use for tha washers...Shyne

I usually scrub the wipers with soap every time I wash the car and wipe them dry..

Try 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Wont that cause smearing on the windshield, using protectant on the blades??

I drove down to Atlantic City yesterday and the wipers were driving me crazy. Is this a fix or will it last for the first five minutes it rains next time?

303 Wiper Treatment not only conditions wiper blades and stops them from skipping and chattering, but also keeps snow and ice from sticking to the treated blades. [snip] Let it soak for a minute and then wipe the blades dry.

They have the 303 Wiper treatment and the 303 aerospace protectant. Nate, I'm assuming you were talking about the wiper treatment, not the aerospace protectant, right?

Did you purchase the wiper inserts from Acura? A friend of mine that works in the parts department told me that the metal reinforcement guides that fit on each side of the blade need to be put in a certain way. You'll notice that there is a natural bend in these guides. I believe the correct orientation was.....for the left blade make sure the bend goes from top to bottom of window and the opposite for the right side blade. I think I had the instructions. Will try and scan it in and post pic for you if I can find it.
