Anybody else have this problem?

I noticed that the plastic shield that sits at the bottom of the outside windshield below the windshield wipers is beginning to warp and not sit flush against my windshield. All types of leaves and crud is beginning to gather in the gaps.

I'm going to get that fixed under warranty (assuming dealership doesn't give me the runaround) next time I go in for service.

Just wondering how common the problem is.

That's cracking B-Pillars, bubbly window trim tape, warped dash, and now warped windshield plastic all in the past year. Shame on Acura!

No, but I'm sure my car will start doing that very soon. Good luck to you getting it fixed.

The outside plastic I haven't seen problems with. The warped dash is very common however. I had our dash replaced about 2 months ago under warranty. Also a few panels here and there have been replaced for either discoloring or warping. The dealership should have no problem replacing these parts....... But, we all expect flak at the dealership.

My dealership also replaced my TL's dash, but not before they blamed me for the warping! They said I treated it, therefore it warped. I started looking at 2nd gen TL's on lots recently and they ALL have it, some worse than others.

My dealership refused to fix my dash. I will start a thread once I take pics to see if it is as bad as some of those who have had theirs replaced. If it is, I'm printing the thread out and taking it into the dealership.

Damn thoses dealers!

No issue with the part you are talking about, however the dash was warping - had that replaced - past warranty - however I raised an stink about it and got it covered as well as the B-Pillars - thank god for the "good faith" warranty coverage. Can't really blame the dealer - it seems the installers at "USA" factory messed up on this one....or maybe the other 20% of the car was from Japan and that's where the issue arose? Either way I will be checking the part you are talking about...Should I have an issue with it I will be forcing them to correct that as well.

Our B pillar outter panels were replaced at the same time as the dash. The right rear door panel was also replaced for the same symptoms as the dash. Our dealership replaced them, no questions asked. That's not to say that they didn't fuck up other things in the process. Our TL was a costly mistake for them. They ended up replacing most of the dash peices and center console plastic. Because they had either broken them or scratched them.
