any other option exept the Big Brake KIt?

As long as I remember I have some issuses with my brakes on 99 tl.even when I took it new from the dealer I only drove for 2 weeks and vibrating occured.
and than so on and so on I have problems with my brakes.Of cource new rotors last for few months and than it starts again over and over.
I think I just need totally new system brake like brambo or so but that cost 2500$,other cost 1800$.
what is your advice on this issue ?????
I just want to finish this once and for ever.
Thanx

Look in the DIY sticky. I switched to Legend calipers, EBC rotors & pads. Not too costly and it's holding up well so far.

and i believe there is a bracket you can use to fit RL calipers with 350Z rotors, but i could be wrong.

the usa legend 95 LS-coupe and a few others of the same vintage/similar model have the 2 piston calipers- the main thing we looked for was close together in piston size- being the 95 ls-c
Other years differ slightly but the few mm doesnt really matter for our use

Ck if they will bolt to the bracket- thats the first critical point- the rest should all fit and use TL rotors pads brackets
you swap the legend calipers on install, L on right side and R on driver side to put the bleeder on top

SS brake lines improve pedal feel and hot braking

Quality brake fluid helps, good shocks and tires make a differance too

buying brackets alone is a trick- they come with caliper kits in most cases- so junkyard search is needed as far as I know

the legend calipers use TL bracket so no prob there

for 350z stuff or other ways.. contact josh at excelerate- our sponsoring vendor
he knows brakes

ok. youre issue is with warping. not the calipers. no need to spend 1k in parts to fix such a simple problem

step 1: buy some ebc ultimaxx rotors for the front and rear. just the slotted ones. no need for anything else.

step 2: buy CERAMIC PADS!! no semi metallic crap.

step 3: bed the brakes in correctly

step 4: no more warping ever again

yea ebc has been pretty impressive for me, my ebc brakes stop on a dime. red stuff pads are pretty hardcore stuff.

that ziner is in germany- where the american tourist and servicemen are in the fast lane going 55 while traffic is trying to get past at 130+
You come up on those drivers FAST and need some super slow down right now~~~~

Serious good brake rotors are in order- ebc matched parts would be good, and made in europe
ceramics are for grandma and those who wont wax the rims to keep brake dust off
High speed braking needs semi met compounds
brake dust is from pad material shedding during the friction to heat exchange that makes braking

to help rotors after hard use- drive without using 5-15 minutes so they can cool down

coming to a dead stop and parking after a few 100mph stops is bad for them
even people who are on the freeway doing hard 70 to 30 slows in traffic and then crawling along- rotors get too hot and warp
Cool them down with airflow- thats why all the technology in the vanes and cross drill and slots

my ceramics perform way better than the semi metallics ive used. they also dont accumulate a bunch of gunk on the rotors and cause hotspots like the semi metallics.

i wax my rims. and im not a grandma, i dont even have a grandma. both died.
i, however, am still alive; and this is because my brakes function like they should

Im sure you found something good Phee- you have come a long way since joining, now pretty much the expert on swaps and certain mods
thats not the point here, conditions in germany- thats `fun driving` everyday and what parts for a reasonable price he can get there

Hot spots on rotor are often from stopping and holding brakes on (like at stoplight)
with very hot parts- the contact of pad and rotor creates extra heat in one spot,,,thats why I say to cool them after hard use with cruise, no use of brakes time,,just like the cool down lap at track- that really is to let things cool down

semi met pads of the past dont count..technology has made huge leaps forward in what they use for metal combos and binding agents
who knows what you had and rotor combo long ago, Im not saying one brand over another- just that things have changed-

Even I learned !!! (everyone,, looked shocked at that admission) a lot recently about clutch disc material and different brake pad compounds,, mostly from reading ebc site- for my bike
the choices are amazing

off topic: in my opinion in next part- atheist disregard:
once you have a grandma they are always your grandma- still here or not
and possibly putting in a good word with your Guardian angels,,the ones who keep the car from sailing off a cliff or similar crash when you should have died- how many times has that happened already in your young life???...(not just you)
`he's a good boy- now with extra horsepower!!,,,keep an extra eye out please`
- if one believes that sort of thing,,
apologies to other religous beliefs
My watchers are kept busy with the bike and shooting down between stopped or slow traffic..death at the ready with the least break of concentration,, or wrong move by car,,you bet I have some stoppers on the front!!!!

Back On Topic:
in Germany go to your local import parts store and a large parts store, ask what they have and suggest. They know what comes back broken and what works on the roads~
Lifetime warranty on pads (shaking head) yeah those must be great stoppers

I ordered double calipers from raybestos in the US and will ship them do Europe.I will try them on my previous rotors that I just turned.thay are slotted and drilled.I will see than.Hopefully that will hold ,if not I will go with the EBC rotors and ceramic parts. buy parts in the uS and ship over to europe.thats much cheaper and the TL never come out in Europe.
thanx guys for the info.I hope i just finish this brakes issue for good this time.Im sick out of that !

congrats. i still say you should buy new rotors all around. new pads on old rotors that have been warped doesnt sound like it will last long.

some drilled slotted rotors should not be resurfaced.

i think my rear EBCs are warped, but then again..i wonder if it has anything to do with the slots going the other way...the directions say / but I think the slots should "cut in" like \ to the rotor against what the directions say for the TL. I got new EBC rotors for the fronts and reversed from the instructions and they seem to work much better..now i gotta fix the rear brakes...i use akebono pro-act pads all around..zero dust and they seem to work very well for my driving style..not doing germany runs, but lots of stop and go here in ATL

Your issues stems from poor quality rotors and pads. You should have listened to Phee or used the search button a little. A good quality rotor Like EBC or the ones i prefer Rotora. Many others like RacingBrake. Our vendors sell them, as well as other places im sure.

I have over 100k on the Rotora rotors, many track days and they are still silk smooth braking. I use EBC Green Stuff pads (i get about 50k out of them)

Just because they are new doesnt mean the tires were balanced properly. Id bring it to the tire shop and have them rebalance the tires.

+2.... Vibration that only happens at high speed is almost always a tire/wheel balance issue. If the first tire shop can't fix it, try getting them balanced at another shop.
