Damn from some angles it looks great and mean and from others it look like a cluttered mess like its out of some bad 80's anime!

I like this angle!

that thread is very good--but the OP wants to leave the cover off and do something to make it look better in the naked-errrr buff condition

Its a simple matter to use any brand of metal polish and a buffer on the drill or even by hand. Shine the outer covers up for a unique look, and slightly improve manifold cooling (less rise in inlet ait temp) by allowing more upward dissapation of heat

Then do the exhaust tips to match! they shine up really nice

Oh my bad.... why not just get after-market head covers?
I personally like the dressed up plastic cover... engine doesn't look right without the cover... but that is just my opinion... If someone will polish it, then I guess it would look pretty cool. but way too much work....

Only real equipment needed is a engine hoist. Those can be rented or bought pretty cheap.

Well all that is about $6k for 3.5 build with CL-S cams, RL pistons, Porting and polishing heads, 3-way valve job, powdercoat. Also depends on if the powder is a two-stage.

No, it's a close friend of mine.

But it is the same engine. My engine will be quite similar, different colors and build.

What you see infront of you is the Pilot/Odyssey engine.

If you really want to do a build-up & 6-speed swap, Save the $ and we can start doing work.

Let me know when you're ready. Any info you need, just ask and I'll help you out.

P.S. you may have to make occasional drives upstate to the NOVA area.

That looks really nice, not to mention it's a frankenstein motor that will make very nice power.
