another tl with megan racing headers installed...

yip...i also got megan racing headers installed...last thursday...i bought them in a group buy for bout $210...these r the 3rd batch...IM LOVING IT!!!...ok...so heres what ive done to the engine so far...CAI...TLS TB...TB Spacer...Megan Racing Headers...

CAI helps some...TLS TB helps some(even if its not port matched to the intake manifold)...TB Spacer(i have no clue...probably not...but does on the accords...dyno tested)...Megan Racing Headers...BIG DIFFERENCE...

my car definitely pulls alot from a dead stop...w/o headersi couldnt peel out that much...just like a sec o so...NOW with them installed i can just floor it n peel out for a daaaamn long time...especially when its damp out...i can floor it in SS n shift up to 4th gear w/o regaining traction...

as for the sound...that i can "sorta" complain about...well alot of u guys have heard my xhaust...im the '01 NG TLP with the magnaflows...custom cat-bak...no resonators...ring a bell? hehe

now...megan racing headers...custom cat-bak...no resonators...

yes...after reading that most of u guys r like HOLY SHIT!!!...no resonators!!!...lol...n yes i agree...its quite loud...but not as loud as u might think...

with this setup...i only hear the fartcan metal sound when i start my car in the morning or after the engine kools down...say like 30-45mins or so after shutoff...but as the car warms up for like 1-3mins...its totally gone...it kinda sounds like i have a straight pipe installed...lol...but dont worry...the sound goes away...

yes the xhaust sound is deeper...ive asked all my friends bout the sound being like a fartcan...or too loud...n they say its fine...sounds meaner n deeper...sounds like a track car...lol...*BONUS* i can hear a very distinct n defining backfire sound when i let off the gas...WOOHOO...just imagine a track car backfiring but no flame...i wish i can get the flame effect...thatll b sick as hell...when the VTEC hits...UR IN HEAVEN!!!...or at least i am...lol...

visually...they look pleasing...tho 2day i peeked under the car n saw this...

i dont think thats good...but im not an xpert so i wont jump to conclusions...prolly kuz my car is lowered...its on H&R Sports...18s running 225/40s...just to give u what the height is like...

final thought...there r its pros n cons...

PROS:
great performance boost...
deepens the tone of any xhaust...
AFFORDABLE!!!

CONS:
nothing really...i cant really say much here kuz my xhaust setup is different from every1 on the forum...only a few ppl here have an xhaust setup with no resonators...other members with stock or with resonators still installed plz respond...kuz i cant really put in a word for those with res...

ill post a vid or 2 up when i have time...

Good to hear the headers worked out. I told you the welds were fine.

I would really love those gains (hp) although I think its one of those things where if I want the gains then i need what comes with it (noise) but others with the headers would be more knowledgeable then I am
