Thumbs down another Tansmision bites the dust

I just got my car back from service on Monday and the transmition now is totaly gone. They don't stock the transmitions so now I'm with out my baby for a week or so. they did get me a grand prix to drive in the mean time, but not near a quality TL.

My 99 TL has 77,000 miles and the tranny started shifting really weird about a month ago...I changed my tranny oil and it was straight for like two weeks then it started going again I took it to a local transmission shop to see what they thought about it.....I let the mechanic drive and he said that my clutch/clutches were bad.......has anybody heard about this I am going to be taking it to acura to see what they think

Has anyone ever been denied a new tranny under warranty due to mods like an CAI or exhaust? I am really worried also... I dont beat on it but I do DRIVE it.. isnt that what Acuras/Hondas are made for?

I have headers, etc. and they gave me no crap whatsoever when the tranny died. Like I stated all those months ago, they acted like they expected it!

unless they can specifically say that ur mod was the determining factor to cause the OEM to break or not work properly u will have no problem... it is a law that protects ur warrranty...

so the problem isnt that the tranny is being fed too much power but just is defective right?

just a bad part in tranny acura customer care states that it is a fairly comon problem but they think they have fixed it. They will not warrenty new trany for 50k though only till odomider reads 50k then they may make an exception if it fails again
