another issue with the tl

about 20 minutes ago i was at the ups store and i tried turning on the car after 10 minz inside the store and it wouldnt turn on. it would crank and turn on briefly but then choke out. it choked about 4-5 times before it finally turned on and i still had to push the accelerator a little to get it going. once in reverse and drive it was fine. i came home, parked, turned the car off and re-started with no problem at all. about 20 mins later i had to go out again and i got the same problem. it feels like the car does not want to stay on and just chokes out. this time i got a check engine light flashing and a tcs light on now.

the only thing i have done in the past few days is replace the spark plugs and put in a bottle of fuel cleaner in the empty gas tank. i didnt have a problem until just 20 mins ago. anybody ever experience this or know whats going on? i was supposed to leave for rochester tmw but i dont think ill be going until this thing is fixed

How long ago did you put the NGK's in? And by all means go to a pepboys or autozone to have the code read. That will give you direction of where you need to look.

i waited for 30 secs with the key in the on position. i did a search and apparantly this pumps the fuel line and it turned like normal. wierd as hell. i guess my fuel injectors are dirty? which is weird since i just poured ina bottle of the cleaner.

I had that problem with my Prelude back in the days with adding the fuel injector cleaner, after adding that the car never rode the same to me.

I have the same problem with the car choking. But the check engine light doesn't come on so there is no code to check. I've read postings about cleaning the EGR and the IAC Valve. I haven't added any fuel injector cleaners in the past few months.
