One of the main critisizms is that the TL-S does not have rear wheel drive for better performance with the "big boys". I like the FWD. If not, I wouldn't have bought it. I don't need pure performance.

you know what? i was watching tv and saw a saab commercial, and one of the "features" listed was "front wheel drive."

i guess it depends on what angle you look at it, although most "enthusiasts" don't realize that there's a phenomenon called "snow" in some parts of the world and u.s.

I sure realize it, I had three snowstorms in excess of 2' last winter! FWD was a must for me, I didn't even consider any RWD cars, since this is my only car.

I hear ya. We had 49" in December 2000.

I'm surprised that the author would show a picture of the sport shifter, but not mention it in the article. Like many of us, I wanted FWD and an automatic. The sport shift, while not perfect, is a great compromise.

RWD for me also. Cant steer a fwd w/your right foot. With all of the snow birds who have moved to where I live I didn't think anyone still drove in the snow.
