Annoying "clunk" sound solved.

I had my mechanic take a look at my car again for this ongoing problem i had when going over bumps,I've changed balljoints and links and it did get better but that "clunk" sound was still there. He found that one screw for the front pass side body bushing was loose he tightened it and the problem was solved. Now I can say my car is as smooth as the day I got it So if you guys have a similar problem check your body bushings to make sure they are not loose.

It's under the car, bushings that are between the frame and body.

It's bushing to help reduce vibrations in the car, they're between the frame and body, about 3-4 inches in dia.

pull the car onto the ramps- block the rear tire
crawl under and look along the frame rails- there will be a metal washer with a rubber spacer under it- about 3 inches across- that would be them-
I havent looked on the TL to make a location map-so info is based on ones I replaced on other cars and trucks
I should check mine too!

check them all- spirted driving loosens many things.
Give every bolt under the car a tug with the wrench to check for movement
On the race car we had to do this before every weekend

About the only way i see this coming loose is if you had work done on the car like a trans replacement.

I have the same problem too after replace both front shocks (and trany) recently. It run fine on the hwy, street, or through a small bump but when I pass (5mph) acrross the speed bump or a hole, it makes a clunky sound, very annoy. I did bring back to the shop and they told me the shock mounts were bad which's I should replace also at that time. Dont know for sure he's right or wrong but this threat will make me a hope.

That's right, #23. It is next to the front swaybar bushing, one on each side. You can easily see it from outside. Behind the front wheel, between the wheel and the mudguard, look through behind the front wheel and you will see it, right next to the front swaybar bushing.

Are you talking about #23 in this pic?

Also, if someone can take a camera out to there car and take a picture of where this is, it would be helpful. My car is lowered and it is raining out, so I want to be able to do this quickly... let me know....
