Amp/sub install, quick question

Hey guys, I will be installing a sub/amp tomorrow and before I jump on it, I just wanted to know where you guys ran your amp power wire thru. If any of you can help out, that would be great, pics if you have those as well. Thanks

I ran mines on the driver's site. Go down to where your pedals are at, flash some light down there and there's a grommet. Pull it out and run your power wire thru there and along the driver side.

ok sounds like you guys used the same spot, so from the engine bay, is it on the drivers side but low? Would I have to go under the car to reach that spot or can I get to it from up top? thanks

you dont have to go under the car. just look by the pedals and you'll see a rubber grommet that has a harness going from the engine to the inside of the car. run it next to that. i usually go inside and use a flat head to poke through the grommet and then check it under the hood just to see where its coming out and where you can run the power wire.

yup everyones right about the spot by the pedal.
heres a good tip that i use everytime i install a stereo.

Take an old metal coat hanger and untwist it so you have a long piece of somewhat straight metal. sharpen 1 end with a dremel or grinding wheel and using needle nose pliers bend a small loop on the other end. shave some strands off your power wire and insert that end in to the loop. poke the sharp end slowly and carefully through the rubber grommet and voila. pull the other end out your engine bay. done!
be careful your dont peirce any factory wiring or lines with the sharp end of the hanger.
