Alot Of Threads About Putting AV6 S/C In A TLP, How About In A TLS?

so, if you can decipher the code, i'm basically asking if anyone has thought about putting an accord V6 supercharger into a TL-S. i saw TONS of posts on putting one in a TL-P, but this does not answer my question.

i would think they have to be quite similiar, with the exception of the mounting bracket perhaps and the fuel pressure regulator. then minor things like piping length, fitment in front of the fan, etc.

now i could totally be whistling dixie out of my ass, but i would think that if one came across an AV6 S/C (for conversation sake, let's just say the blower alone), you could simply order the missing pieces from comptech and have one for your TL-S. what do you guys think? i know some of you are way more knowledgeable on this.

yeah but it costs $500 more. kinda sucks, but if you found an AV6 S/C in a junkyard then you'd be set.

What are the chances that someone would throw a perfectly good S/C in the garbage??? Even if the car was totalled in a rear end collision, I'm sure the owner would take off the S/C and sell it to make some money back.

You will probably never find a S/C in a junk yard, you're better off buying the Comptech S/C specifically made for the TL-S, you'll have a lot less headaches that way!!!

i agree with your statement, but that's just a hypothetical situation. let's say you have a friend who will sell you one, or a neighbor, or you find one on ebay or in the black market section of an accord message board, wherever.

my point is, does anyone know the difference? i have it in my mind's eye what would have to be done, and i don't think it would take much.

the accord sc is different from the tl-s sc. the tl-s intake sits much higher than the tl-p and accord intake does, you would need the plenum part that goes from the back side of the SC to the intake for the tls. along with any thing else thats different

well, seeing as the type-s throttle body is specialized i don't know if i would want to do that, good idea though. but the whole plenum and air piping was something i definately figured would have to be different. anyone else have any thoughts? thanks for the input you guys.

BTW...why is there an ad for "supercharge your car" for 69.95 now advertising on the top of this site???

It says that it increases power by funneling the air into the combustion chamber which apparently increases power??? I highly doubt it.

Comptech will not sell you just the parts you need. Liability issues. It's been tried.
