Airtabs (vortex generators)

Time to nerd up!

Has anybody tried Airtabs ?

They're really pretty unattractive if I'm honest. To a point where even paint probably wouldn't help. Not to mention I'd really feel funny pulling up to a valet to have them ask what the spikey things on my roof are...

But... if these VGs really do help fuel efficiency..........

*Side note - a customer on the Airtab page actually placed Airtabs UNDER the front under-tray / splitter of a Corvette... to reduce under-turbulence and drag...!?

Thoughts?

and while I'm on the FE note... http://ecomodder.com/forum/EM-hyperm...ecodriving.php

Cheers folks

the top of a TL looks nothing like a giant flat truck or an rv- as the directions say its for.
The bottem of a corvette is pretty flat panels-- designed to optimize handling
Perhaps that driver needed less downforce?

Some of the econo-driving tips are similar to many posted here, never hurts to read and check youself
A little common sense will save gallons per tankful

I might put some UNDER my car, where one would never see them and there is much more "non-aerodynamic" stuff, but NO WAY will I put them visibly. I could see the EVO crowd putting em on the roof like the EVO 9 has those doohickees

Shoot, you guys know the evolution of the golf ball . . .

Pretty soon cars will have dimples EVERYWHERE

people across the world will be out in the garage

As it is I park FAR away for no door dings. Maybe that is the wrong idea
