air filter housing
trying to replace my air filter in 2003 Type S and the two Phillips head screws are very difficult to remove. Removed one but the other one won't budge and I'm afraid I've ruined the grooves in the head. Any ideas what to do now other than go to dealer?

Steve, Get a 8mm socket on it. If you don't have one... You can play primitive steve.. Use a phillips screw driver and a hammer.. keep turning force on the screw driver and tap the top of it. They make an inpact driver that does what I stated above, which works 99.9% of the time. But since you didn't use a 8mm on it, you probably don't have the socket nor the impact driver. So try taping the top of the screw driver. You're best bet is to use a 8mm on it. If you dont have simple hand tools hit sears...
