Is KNN filter a good way to go. does it help it all? know of a good place to get one? i just got my TL-S three days ago....

 

I used K&N filters in my Jeeps, and didn't notice any massive improvement - they seem to be more of a hassle (reoiling) than simply using a good quality filter and changing it.

 

I had a drop in K&N filter in my 97 Maxima SE. I didn't notice a big difference in power, but the engine did have a throatier sound when accelerating hard. I'm currently debating on using one in the TLS.

 

Are you the other half of my splt personality? Let's see, I have a '97 Maxima SE, dropped in a K&N filter. I now have a '02 TL-S and just dropped in a K&N. Just don't tell me the Maxima was black and your TL-S was Aegean Blue or I'll have to get my lawyers on you for copyright infringement....

 

I don't know anyone that has felt any significant gains from a drop in K&N filter b/c they are still using the non efficient stock airbox. I replaced my 1993 300ZX's airbox (one of the worst designs ever) with the K&N ram air unit and I did notice more pep from the car but it also decreased my gas milage...an even trade if you ask me!

 

No need to call your lawyers. My Max was white, but I do have a Aegean blue TLS. Ha Ha. When I first bought the Max, my first choice was black but their were none available with grey interior so I went with white. I love that Aegean blue color.
