Just Start your car when Cold with the Cap off Until the fan Kicks In (Thats the Thermostat Opening thus releasing Air from the Engine) and your done!!... Top 5 Minute job.
You can Revv the Engine like the Manual says but thats just to accelerate the Thermostat opening, You can do it Both ways.

I would follow the owner book exactly
if you dont have one go to www.owners.acura.com and register with cars vin
you can download free copy of book there
plus store radio nav codes safely and lots of car info there
DO have the heater turned to full hot and cabin fan on (open a window or 2)
thats part of the cooling system flow and likes to hide air
the book will have you holding rpm at 2000 until fan cycles on and off
with rad cap off, add fluid as needed, idle till fan cycles,,then 2000 till it does it twice,,etc
may vary slightly with your year,,when cap is on partway -then on--etc...see book
make sure the hose inside res bottle cap is on tight,,thats another common problem
and rad cap seal is in good condition- its spring good,,thats a 10$ critical part of the operation,,weak cap lowers pressure, lowers boiling temp of fluid,,system cant function right
guage fluctuates? how--at lights goes up then moving it drops or what?
new thermostat?
driver fan operates?
pass fan and driver side fan BOTH, with ac on?
driver fan runs for 5 minutes after shutdown?

how will you know if there is air in the system ? I just did a drain and fill last night - and didnt follow the book
I just drained the radiator ( took of the hose) and then drained out the fill tank and refilled it all.
My temp is about 2 lines below the half way mark. Should i be alright or should i do it again by the book ( drain radiator, and then the drain plug on the engine block) ??
My fluid looked pretty good yet..

Why you took off the Hose? Didnt you Noticed the Drain Butterfly?..
Anyway the Proper method to do a full Flush is draining the Engine Block, Believe me if you just drained the radiator is not even HALF of the System Full Capacity most of the AF stays in the Block.
You need to Drain the Block to have FULL NEW AF!
The full system will take about 1 gallon + half if you include the AF in the Reservoir.

ANY time you have the hoses off, it needs a full burping to get rid of hidden/trapped air
note: heater to hot- for draining and burping,,it holds coolant in its own mini radiator
DO follow your years owner book for correct procedure.
air can result in non-op cooling fans!!

I agree with remove engine drain block to get most of the old stuff out
coolant is good for an average 4,,-5 years MAX,
then its additives turn acidic--in an aluminum environment !!
Anyone awake during science class remember what that causes??
