ahhh wasting of my time
today, I decided to install 02-03 cd chg radio to my '99 TL. After going through all the removal of center console, I tested out the 02 - 03 radio that I bought from someone in this forum, the CD Changer doesn't work. -.-;;
It shows all the CDs are in the changer but it doesn't spit them out. I guess they are stuck inside of the radio. So now, I put it all together back and wasted my 2 hours of work plus my hurting fingers since I had to press cable hard to unplug. ahhh

yeah same here TWICE.
i bought one off a guy in the BM and i got the EREL or whatever the hell it said returned it and canceled the check. then i bought another one, same thing. i took it apart and all the trays are jacked up.
thinking about insuring it and mailing it to a buddy.

Smack it once or twice dont be scared to break it. All my cd's were jammed plus one was stuck in the tray and the rest were in the cd changer with the ERE1 code. I smacked the unit so HARD while pressing eject, 2 cd's popped out in 1 lol then they all came out 1 by 1. After that it worked normally again.

I think that could be the eject button. (Or maybe thats the newer versions??)

wham bam thank you ma'am

the eject button will eject one cd only and then will ask u to load another one in. and then u have to press 2 or 3 or whatever number u want and press eject again and continue the process.
theirs a way to press a button or tow and it will eject all cds one at a time without pressing anything else.

by press and hold the eject button, it will make a Beep sound then it will eject all the cd out one after another.
here is a trick i used when i tried to eject the cd and it give me an error1, press eject on whatever the cd you want it to eject, then grab one of the old cd and jam it into the cd openning, back and forth ( couple time ) then the cd will come out and the player is back to normal again.( try it out, maybe it might work for you 2 )

maybe a house stereo. you would assume a cd player/changer would be designed to handle bumps and jerks to a certain extent considering it was built to be in a car for years and years..

But even an excellent packing job might not be good enough if the package is really abused.
Anyway, to the OP, there are all sorts of tricks for getting the player to spit out CDs that are stuck. There are multiple threads covering this. Sometimes you can just whack the dash by the HU to fix this.
If you do re-install the radio, collect a list of things to try so you're ready to go the next time.
Good luck!

In all seriousness, I wouldn't blame the person who sold it to you...yet. Unless you can prove that the seller was cognizant of its state and did not inform you prior to purchase, it's in the air. In addition, the head units are known for having the very problem which you describe! So I would just advise trying some of the solutions mentioned throughout the forum for "stuck" CDs before placing the blame on the seller selling you a faulty product.

Honestly I think you just got some bad luck. I bought mine from a member here in the BlackMarket and it's been working fine from day 1.
It's a risk buying used electronics period so you got burned a couple times. The 3rd time may be the charm.
