It's actually a pretty legitimate question to wonder how a 20 year old affords a 30K car. sssick, do you pay for college, or do you have a scholarship?

32 here.

Funny, everytime I see another TL I naturally look to see whose driving and its usually a woman, mostly middle-aged (50's)... depressing.

and there was a guy who looked in his very late 60's picking up his new TL-S - had two old ladies in the back - cringe!

24 and I'm curious about how some of you can be fresh out of high school and payin for a TL too. What bank gives a 25K loan to a teenager? I got laid off about three months after we bought the car but we're gonna hang on to it, point being, I make high school money right now (school again) and my wife is the only reason we can keep it. Before this car the lowest mileage I ever had on a car was 108k, and this is my ninth car. I am the P.O.S MASTER!
1987 Mazda B2200 116k
1987 Dodge Shadow 118k
1987 Olds Cutlass 108k (I loved this one, T-Tops,chrome )
1988 Acura Legend 222k
1986 Acura Legend 226k
1994 Acura Integra RS 150k
1995 Honda Prelude 110k (Nice one too)
1991 Honda Accord 150k (Still goin)
1999 Acura TL-P 68k
Im sure some of you older guys can top that P.O.S. list, but all those crappers just make me love the TL that much more.

I am 27.

Living in Jersey City, I was very proud to be an owner of ACURA TL TYPE S. I thought I was some hotshot. I have seen only a handful of Acuras here and there in my area.

I went to Queens NY the other day. I parked in a parking lot where lots of young kids hang out. I was easily the oldest one there. Everyone was 17 or 18 or younger, everyone was driving at least a TLS and really suped up, and most were driving BMW, MB, Lexus or other various sports car.

I felt real bad looking at all these young kids driving better wheels than me. The only thing that made me feel a little better was that I am pretty sure I am the only one there that BOUGHT his own car. Everyone was probably money from parents or some thing like that.

Still... I wish I had a TLS when I was 17. Oh well, I guess 27 is not too late. Maybe I will join our fellow Acura owners up top and get a porsche when I am 37

i'll be 20 in a month and have had the car for a year and two months... not a day goes by that i don't thank my parents for working hard and providing me with something so nice... i consider myself to be quite a modest person and am very grateful for what my parents have done for me..

Lucky you, but I'll be struggling to pay for mine on my own, unless my mom hits the lotto and wants to pay it off for me :o

Mongolian, most of the under 21 crowd probably have used TLs that they didn't have to spend 30K on. It's probably not as crazy as it seems.
