I feel like a traitor
Okay, I took the car to a car wash only because I have no time to wash it right now and it was covered in bugs from my junket to Tampa.
Anyway, she was all armor-all'd out and sitting at the light when a CTS blows up next to me way ahead of the cross-walk and is rev'ing...It was that funky orange color. Now, I've posted this before, but I'll say it again: I find the CTS hideous! That being said, I love orange/copper colors (the new Z, Dodge pick-up, my old 4Runner, AcuraJL)...
So, the light turns green and I @$$rape this guy to the next light with my new Nittos still kinda wet and covered with shiny stuff smoking to boot. Instead of me starting from almost a car length behind, we are even at the next light and he rolls down the window and says: "How about trying that again?" Poor b@st@rd; I did it to him again.
The third light comes and we stop and he is giving me mad props and is pi$$ed for getting creamed. I actually utter: "Wow, that color makes me like that car." He drives off and I sit there mortified by my comment. I follow him some and continue to stare. I suddenly see a white one coming the other way and say: "yuck". I turn into work and this OG has a black one with some pimped out chromies: "yuck". But that orange; man it changed the car...
I may really have to think about the new CTS-V if it comes in orange as well. I'm not kidding. 400hp and orange? I think I might be in love. If I'm wrong, someone please slap me...

I like the fact that Caddy will build the CTS-V; it's nice to see an American builder trying to compete with BMW M5, etc..
But that thing is going to look SO dated in a few years.
(People call TL's "boring".. in 5 years or so pull up next to the very "un-boring" CTS and see which looks better)

Is good to like a car like that, is nice looking and all but it won't age well. I think the Batman look will look dated in a year or two plus is still an inferior car as far as everything else.

I'm not so sure about the dated comment. I am begaining to appreciated the CTS. The biggest factor was the Cadilliac resale value for me. As well as the inablility to get good service. Mr. Goodwrenchs in my area and not known for their mechanical prowess. I think Cadilliac uses some quirky technology in the various systems too, like the climate control, electrical. My parents are very pleased with their 01 Sedan deVille, it has had no difficulties and has a killer engine, but is a bit a boat. A previous unit leaked oil like an offshore rig.
the concept was nice, but when i got up close to one in the parking lot, it just looked horrible. teh car doesnt fit in anywhere, and with four doors, usually driven by some old lady, it just doesnt set the right image.

r10 :0 - STOP!
hehe - Caddy is sure trying hard to get the Geritol smell off it's brand huh? It's tempting but no value in it - it's part for part about 13K over a 04 TL loaded.
heck for that 13K you could get the TL painted any shade of orange ya wanted and still save $$$

Thank you all for bringing me back into reality...
But I think towards the bottom half of the posts, you guys failed to miss the fact that this is a CTS-V: The one with the 5.7L Corvette V8 and 400hp to it's RWD! That being said, that interior is still Fisher-Price and it is a badwrench product. I, too, even despite the orange color, find Cadillac's styling cues to be hideous.
I love my TL-S, but there just aren't enough mods to make my car run with that with any consistency, let alone traction (FWD)...
Now, if I could maybe get a G35 in orange/copper and get that Greddy turbo--hmm, that'll put me near $50k as well! Then again, maybe one of you guys could give me a job with a raise and I'll just get the E55 and call it a day!

Speaking of g35
04 will see an AWD model ! woot! I was digging on the GTO too with the beefy V8 - I swear if Gm got smart and used their new sedan platfrom off the SAAB 93 mated to the inline 6 of the Trailblazer/Envoy - they would be flying out the door.
