aftermarket stereo

Anyone added and aftermarket head unit and left the origional speakers in place?
Any sound improvement? Any pics? Do the steering wheel controls still work?

lots of people have done so - because the Bose door speakers are 4 ohm just like every other car speaker - but you have to understand what you are working with. the stock speakers are POS thin paper w/o even a tweeter. So you can get some better SQ but not much. and the steering controls will not work unless you get an adapter for it. The problem with that, is there can be a delay so its not really worth it. Just use the "search" feature at the top of the website and look in the "off topic" area under the audio video section and you will find the answer to any question you may have.
