Aem V2

I just got off the phone with AEM and they said that the AEM V2 does not fit the 99 & 00 TL's. This is contrary to what this site says in the parts store section. Anyone aware of whats going on?

The AEM V2 does actually fit our car. I have it on my '99. The model that fits our car is the same one that fits the V6 Accord. It's a perfect fit, but the instructions are a bit off since they are for the V6 Accord and there are some minor differences. Some differences are the hoses and the factory intake. The install is a little difficult, but with a little common sense and patience can be done by even someone with little or no experience. I ran into some questions and contacted AEM myself and they gave the same response, that they don't make one for our car. But like I said, it does fit and works quite well!

because they didnt design one for it. just like the type-s intake wont fit a tl-p. the intake sits higher on the tl-s.

In my experience, AEM's customer service wasn't poor at all. They simply told me that they didn't make the V2 for the TL. They said that the one for the V6 Accord might fit, but couldn't guarantee it. IMHO anyway, the AEM V2 is far superior than any Injen product, in terms of performance, sound and appearance. To me, the only way to go as far as intakes are concerned are either with the AEM V2 or Comptech Icebox. Once again, my $.02.

WAIT WAIT WAIT...yes you can make it fit on a 99 and 00...all you have to do is move the horn, almost the same procedure with an AEM CAI on a '99. just know that the icebox will gives the same gains as the V2...and any other intake is just +/- 1-4hp difference..
