Aem Pullies From Hell Are Annoying Me
My pullies have recently been making chirping noises like hell. when the car is idle, it makes the noises and it is even more apparent when i give it some gas. I tried to apply lubricant to the belt but it only helps for a day -- the very next day the annoying sounds start again. Could it be the tension of the bolts? Please help.
if that doesn't work go to pep boys and buy a belt that is .05" smaller than stock. that would be the next size down. the squealing is most likely a loose/ stretched belt. especially if you you used the original belt when you swapped pullies. i had the same issue. new belt solved the prob!

who installed them???
balanced performance here in georgia did mine, they do a real professional job.....i guess thats y they charged me for 2 hours = 150$ but then they gave me 50$ discount cause i went there often for installs. but my pulleys are great.. no problems at all. had them for probably about 10,000 miles now

If it is the belt making the noise, take a wire brush and hold it gently against the side of the belt while it is spinning. Works everytime.

Why don't you put the part back on your car that the factory engineered to work with your car?

Because there is no problem modifying any car. The cause is the belt.....it's too long, use the stock belt, it's tricky but it works.
