Adding Navigation to non factory installed TL’s

Hay all, new TL owner here, was wondering if it was at all possible to have the Navigation installed after the factory. I’ve recently received a 2000 3.2TL without it, and would like to have it installed.

it will cost a whole lotta money...it would be cheaper to get an aftermarket navi unit, ie pionner, alpine, etc

Yes it can be done, as I have researched it extensively. I got a quote from my acura dealership for a little over 7 grand as a total. I was like, **** that. Someone on this board has actually done the conversion himself, and I remember it took him about 24 hours. It is a lot of work, but yes it can be done. Sometimes you'll see people on ebay or even on here selling the screens and/or the DVD unit. If you can get those two things from someone other than the dealership, you'll be good to go. I was gonna do that and then just buy the wiring harness, AC controls, and new dash piece from the dealer. They had good prices on that.

Dang, 7k mucho dinero. I was thinking about a custom computer instead of the nav unit. Better screen, and more options.

like the DashPC .

But, if anyone has a Screen/DVD nav unit for a 2000 TL let me know if you want to get rid if it.
