Acura Paint Pen

Just used it on my bumper which was absolutely destroyed by rock chips. There are over 150 different rock chips on my front bumper... I've painstakingly dabbed at about 20 of them, and it looks great. In general, the paint pen works a LOT better than the touch up paint that has the little brush. One side of the pen has paint, and the other side has clearcoat!

I recommend it to anyone who needs touchup paint.. REALLY easy to use...

~$15 off ebay.

Yeah, the touch-up paint brush sucks. It barely did anything to paint chipped areas on my car. I think I will try the pen this time.

damn I wish I new the brush sucks... I just got it! I have a few chips on my hood that have rust on them now...what should I do? If I just paint over them, wont the paint fall right off? Also my front bumper has hella chips also! The previous owner must have only drove behind big trucks on the highway.

If you just paint over rust, it will continue to spread underneath the paint. You should get rid of any rust before painting!!

I don't even bother with the brush... Here's what I do...

Get a toothpick and break it in half... The put a drop of paint on the rough end of the toothpick and use it as a brush... It is stiff and a lot more controllable than the soft brush... Dab it around to get the paint the the crevice "just right"... Then let it dry...

Be sure to use judgement on the amount of paint based on the size of the touchup job...and remember that it is better to layer multiple coats than to try and get it all done in a single "blob"...

Using this method, I have had zero problems...
