Hey all, I have a '99 TL that I had a minor front end fender bender in. Part of the AC system was damaged due to the impact; parts include the dehydrator, condensor, and hose. Upon picking up my car and cranking up the AC I noticed that the compressor kicks on and off repeatedly, causing voltage fluctuations in the car and also failing to produce freezing cold air as it had in the past. It blows cold air when it's not 100 degrees outside but when it gets hotter outside the AC fails to really blow out cold air. I took it to the $tealership and they told me that the unit is failing and that it and a new tension pulley for my car would run me in the $1400 range. A friend of mine informed me that the compressor is kicking on and off because it is possibly low on refrigerant. Another person says it's the fan clutch. Is there an Acura mechanic or anyone who has experienced AC problems with these cars that could bring some light to my issues here. Thanks in advance.
