? about clearing headlights

Ok, i really want my headlights cleared, but i just don't have the experience to do it myself, but i've seen the instructions on the site. Is it really difficult to clear out your lights? does it still blink orange after being cleared?

It is not as difficult as it is time consuming. It takes quite some time to seperate the housing, so be patient. The signals will still blink orange because there is an orange bulb inside, but won't be as noticeable from the sides once you take out the orange reflector.

from what i know, it's not an EASY procedure but very doable... take your time... downside is that your headlights might get foggy and misty during cold/rainy days...

after you clear them, they will blink orange as long as you have those orange bulbs inside... changes those to polars/piaas any other white/hyper white/whatever 1157 signal bulbs and you will blink white.... hope this helped

This is probably the biggest problem most people have when clearing out their lights. You can avoid this by removing as much of the old adhesive (very tedious, but worth the effort) as you can and making sure you seal the housing up good. I used some clear silicone and only had one day with fog inside the lenses. Ever since that initial fogging, my lenses haven't fogged up since.

Rayman, your local tuner shops will most likely do it for you for a small fee for labor. IMO, you should do it yourself. Just like everyone else said, you need a lot of patience. Don't be in a rush or else your headlights willl be "foggy and misty on cold/rainy days" - Control.

Clearing your headlights is not so bad. You shouldnt worry about cracking the plastic lens cuz when you heat that thing up it is much more resistant to cracking. Also, remove as much of the old Honda Bond as possible. This will ensure that the pieces fir back together well. I used a super clear Silcone adhesive/sealant and the results were great. Also, you can test for fogging by putting your lights in a bathroom with all the openings closed, turn on the hot shower and let the steam build up, if your lights get fog on the inside, then you have a leak. Its well worth it tho.
