99 TL... Where is my speed sensor? I need pictures.
I've had my 99 TL for about 6 years now. Every since I bought it, my speedometer has worked intermittently (about 1/3 of the time). The "check engine" light is on because of the EGR tube carbon thing, and the "TCS" light comes on at will. Now all of a sudden the cruise has stopped working. The fuse for the cruise is fine. My main concern right now is the cruise and speed sensor. WHERE IS THE SPEED SENSOR? I've read where it is, I've seen parts diagrams of where it is, but I be damned if I can find it on my car! As for the cruise, I think I may have issue with the controls , so I'll be checking that out. Will somebody please post a pic of where the speed sensor is?

Always Working In
On the 99 there are two speed sensors. The mainshaft and the countershaft. The mainshaft is on the front, countershaft is on top. They're black plastic parts with connectors on them. Ill post pics when I get home from work.

This pic is your countershaft sensor located on top next to the atf fill bolt.
The mainshaft sensor is under the battery and looks just like the countershaft sensor. Can't miss it.

No way
Well, I feel stupid. It doesn't look like the ones for sale at: http://www.partstrain.com/ShopByDepa...ensor/ACURA/TL. I also found this diagram: http://autorepair.about.com/library/...bl304a-lib.htm. As you can see they don't look much like the one on the car. It must be that the factory sensor is simply different. I've never considered that sensor being it. I hope it's just a "mostly open" wire or something. Thanks you guys, I'll let you know how it goes.
