this is my problem i have a 99 but the tranny was gone so i got a sweet deal on a totaled 01 tl so i bought the entire front clip with a harness and installed it in my 99 with the ecu shift box and cluster and the engine would not turn on with its harness but it does with the 99 dash harness but when u put it in drive its stays like on one gear (((( before taking engine off the 01 tl i tested drove it and it drove like new with only 89xxx miles on it)) now i need your help guys what can i do

did you use the 01 ECU? or the 99 ECU?

 

did you even try going to the dealer for a warranty tranny?

 

The car wont start with the new ECU because of the immobilizer. Your key has to be programmed to the new ECU. (have to bring it to the dealer for that. If you keep the new harnesses in your car and get that programmed it should run right.

 

i used everything of the 01

 

Then you have to have YOUR key reprogrammed to the new ECU. only the dealer can do that.
