70w 9006 bulb

is it okay to put a 70w 9006 bulb into the 9006 foglights?? thanks for your help!

why not? as long as it is the same size (9006), it should work right?

It probably wont last as long as stock, and may cause electrical troubles with the oem wiring.

argh thats what i was afraid of. i believe the oem bulbs in the fogs are 55w... now putting in a 70w bulb is exactly what im afraid of... electrical problems. anyone have any problems with installing the Nokya 9006 Hyper Yellow 70w bulbs in their fogs before? I know multiple people have this mod... and I havent found any rants on any problems. plannin to install these tonight... Thanks for your help!

You may melt the power cable to the fog light or may melt the fog light casing.

on my accord i had 80w low beams - yeah i know im annoying, but no probs. another friend had the same car and also put 80w lows on (diff brand) and his harness and wires melted. my guess is its a crap shoot. i had those lights on my car for 3 years no probs tho.

There is a simple solution for it. Get a relay and rewire teh fogs so that the wiring can handle it.

i just installed the 70w bulbs. no problems and used it for about 45 minutes. i did a search on the bulbs and found them on this site and ebay. the casing says 70w... but in actuality its only 55w consume wattage. i called up the company [nokya but under a different site] and they confirm that it will not be a problem. so far so good. but thank you everyone for your input! =]
